Frequently asked questions
Short answers to the questions we hear most. Where a full page exists, the link at the end of the section takes you there.
What is Aptora?
What does Aptora do?
Aptora brings profiles and jobs together: you maintain your profile once, and the platform finds matching openings — or, on the other side, matching candidates for your listings.
Who is Aptora for?
Both sides: people who keep their experience as a well-maintained profile and want to apply — and teams that publish openings, search for talent and handle applications.
Which languages does Aptora support?
German and English. You can switch at any time in the settings; emails and notifications follow your choice.
Profiles
What is a profile?
Your CV as a living document: positions, projects, education and skills, from which Aptora renders a designed PDF. You can keep several profiles, for example for different roles.
Can I share a profile?
Yes, through a public link you can revoke at any time. You decide what the link shows — personal details can be masked for the public view.
Can I import an existing CV?
Yes. Upload your PDF and Aptora reads out the positions and skills instead of you retyping everything. You review and correct the result before saving.
Personal workspace and organizations
What is the difference between my personal workspace and an organization?
The personal workspace is yours: your profiles, your applications. An organization is a team's shared workspace — with its own listings, shared profiles and its own billing.
How do I switch between workspaces?
With the switcher at the top of the navigation. Everything you see and create always belongs to exactly the workspace that is active there.
Pricing and plans
What does Aptora cost?
There are plans for personal use and for teams, billed monthly or yearly. The current overview with everything included lives on the pricing page — that is also where you subscribe.
Can I change my plan?
Yes, at any time. A change applies from the next billing period; the pricing page and the subscription section of your settings show the details.
AI integration (MCP)
Can I connect Aptora to my AI assistant?
Yes. Aptora speaks the Model Context Protocol (MCP): assistants like Claude can — after your explicit approval — read and maintain your profiles, search jobs or draft listings.
How do I set up the connection?
The “AI setup” guide walks through it step by step for the common assistants. You grant access per assistant and can revoke it in the settings at any time.
What is a connected assistant allowed to do?
Only what you allowed when granting access — permissions come in tiers, from reading your profiles to working with listings. Every action follows the same rules as in the interface.
Google Chat
Can Aptora post into our Google Chat?
Yes. An organization can connect a chat space; Aptora then reports news from the workspace there — shared profiles or published listings, for example. What gets posted is configured under Settings → Integrations.
Who can connect the space?
Only whoever runs the organization. The app offers the connect step right in the room; everyone else can link their Aptora account there.
Reviews
How does Aptora make sure reviews are genuine?
Reviews only come into being between parties who verifiably worked together through Aptora — there is no open review form. How exactly that works is public on the reviews page.
Ranking and ordering
How does Aptora order results?
By professional fit — which parameters go in, and with what weight, is fully disclosed. Paid plans and reviews do not influence the order.
Data and privacy
What happens to my data?
Your data is yours and serves the platform's purpose: keeping profiles, applying, publishing openings. What we process, how and on which basis is laid out in full in the privacy policy.
Can I delete my account and my data?
Yes, yourself, at any time, in the settings. Deleting the account removes your data; the specifics and retention periods are in the privacy policy.
Cancellation
How do I cancel my contract?
Through the cancellation page linked at the bottom of every page — no phone call, no letter. You can also end your subscription directly in the settings.
